Aloo Poori is one of the Punjabi breakfast recipe. It is generally cooked on weekend or when some guests visits home. Lets have a look at the recipe.
Aloo Poori Recipe
- 4 Finely Chopped Onion
- 2 Finely Chopped Tomato
- 3 Peeled and diced Potato
- 1 inch Ginger
- 10-11 Cloves of Garlic
- 1 Finely Chopped Green Chili
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Red Chili
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt to Taste
Heat oil in a Pressure Cooker. Add cumin seeds, stir till it crackles.
Add finely chopped onion and stir till it becomes golden brown in color. Then add paste of garlic and ginger.
Add chopped tomato and stir occasionally for 6-7 minutes.
Add turmeric powder and all the spices. Mix well.
Then add 2 cups of water and diced potato. Cover the lid of pressure cooker and wait for 5-6 whistles.
Open the lid and serve this Aloo Sabji with hot pooris.
- You can add water according to the gravy, If you want thick gravy add less water.
