Jeera rice is very simple and easy to cook recipe. You can serve this with any kind of gravy or daal. It is cooked in almost every Indian Home. The step by step recipe of jeera rice is explained here.
- 1 cup Rice
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Thinly Sliced Onion
- 2 cups of Water
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Salt to Taste
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves ( Finely Chopped)
Heat oil in the pan. Add cumin seeds and thinly sliced onion and saute them for 3-4 minutes.
Add water and bring water to boil. Then add rice and cover the pan.
Cook the rice until all water is evaporated. Garnish the rice with coriander leaves. Your rice is ready to be served hot.
- Rinse the rice well and soak them for 10 minutes before cooking, as it yields a better texture.
