Poori Recipe

Poori is very easy to cook and it can be served with any gravy like aloo bhaji or white chane. It can be cooked very quickly. Kids also love to have this in their lunch box.

  • 2 Cups Wheat Flour
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp Carom Seeds
  • Salt to Taste


  1. Kneed the wheat flour into stiff dough using water and oil. Add some salt and carom seeds while making dough.

  2. Make small balls from the dough. Roll the balls with rolling pin to make disc of 3 inches.

  3. Heat oil in kadai for deep frying. Fry the pooris in oil they get puffed and become golden brown.

  4. Serve the poori with hot aloo ki sabji or White Channe ki Sabji.
